If you have read about Christian’s journey in Volume 1 of The Pilgrim’s Progress, you may also enjoy reading about Christiana’s journey. At first, she did not want to set out on this journey. She had no desire to accompany her husband and allowed him to go alone. Later, however, she realized how wrong she had been, and her heart was filled with sorrow for her sins. One day she received an invitation and began preparing for the journey with her four sons. A young woman named Mercy joined them. Together they set out on the same pilgrimage that Christian had traveled. They followed the same road he had taken, but their experiences were different.

Many events took place along the way. The travelers came to dangerous places inhabited by giants and other enemies, but they also found beautiful and pleasant places where they met true friends. God cared for them again and again, from the beginning of their journey to its end.

This book tells the complete story of Christiana and her companions. At the end of each chapter, there is an explanation and several questions. Each chapter begins with a passage from Scripture. The book is written so that young children can understand it, yet adults will also enjoy reading about this journey and gaining a deeper understanding of it. It is a book for the whole family.
